Pregnancy deserves to be celebrated and I want to celebrate you, Mama. I have such a pull to these early stages of motherhood. Maybe it’s because I know just how quickly it all goes or maybe it’s because I miss this stage so much. Growing a baby is a true miracle and it is so important for you to document it with beautiful photographs.
Emotive & Intimate Maternity Photos
My maternity sessions become just as much about the family as they are about the growing baby. Whether it’s an older sibling kissing your growing belly or your partner looking into your eyes, I try to capture all of those perfect little moments in between. Sessions will be relaxed and natural, with a wide variety of intimate and joyful moments. My focus is on emotion and less on perfect posing, so don’t worry about you or your kids having to perform. Many of my clients tell me that they were able to feel completely comfortable during the session and sometimes it felt like I wasn’t even there.

I offer on-location and in-home lifestyle maternity photography in Colorado Springs and surrounding areas that focuses on the beauty of your unconditional love for your growing baby and the family this baby will be born into.

There is no strict timeline for getting your maternity photos taken, but ideally, maternity sessions would happen somewhere between 30-35 weeks. For a majority of women, the ideal time to have a maternity session is somewhere between 30-35 weeks when your belly is really showing, but you are still feeling pretty comfortable. If you are hoping to schedule your maternity session in the Fall, it is important to reach out earlier to ensure I have availability. Pregnancy announcement photos are also a great option.
Think about clothing that makes you feel beautiful and that shows off your beautiful bump the best. I recommend long and flowy maxi dresses. Another great option is a stretchy fitted dress to really show off that bump! I love earthy colors and recommend you avoid extremely loud patterns or graphics that will distract from the natural beauty. More tips on what to wear here!
Absolutely! I love involving all family members in the maternity session. There is nothing better than a little child kissing mom's growing belly or your dog (aka first child) sharing these joyful moments with you. Whatever you are hoping for, I will work with you to make it happen.
All of my sessions last about 1 - 1.5 hours. I do not have a set end time, but will usually go as long as we have light and as long as you are enjoying the process. I understand that meltdowns can happen and that pregnant moms need breaks, so this gives us enough time to not feel rushed while still getting all of the emotional photos you were hoping for.
I have several beautiful outdoor locations that I love to shoot at in and around Colorado Springs. If the time of year does not allow for this or if younger children are involved, you might choose to take the photos in your own home instead. It is totally up to you! I will work with you on all options and the pros and cons of each.

All maternity clients will be offered a steep discount when they schedule their newborn/baby session within the first year. Please reach out to me for specific details.
