If you are a high school senior, you probably already have an idea in mind of what you want your pictures to look like. While my style is relaxed and laid back, I also want to fully customize the experience for you. I love to collaborate with my seniors on ideas, location, props, etc. I like to help bring out what makes you unique and special.
As soon as we arrive at our location in or around Colorado Springs, my goal is to help you feel at ease and comfortable so that you can just be yourself. We often start off with a lot of movement, just to get used to being in front of the camera. Seniors almost always tell me they are awkward or shy in front of the camera, but I tell them not to worry. While I will start out giving a lot of direction to seniors and telling them what to do, by the end they are usually acting like a model and coming up with their own ideas. That is where the personality of each individual really stands out. We have so much fun together!
CONTACT ME
"When we arrived for the photo shoot she immediately made my daughter feel so comfortable and able to just be herself.... When we got the pictures, she was so excited and couldn't wait to show the world how they turned out."
~Samantha G.
Ahead of the session, we will work together to find the best location in Colorado Springs based on what you are looking for. Clients are welcome to send me inspiration photos ahead of time and to bring any props that you would like, although none of that is necessary. I always have my own ideas as well, but I love to incorporate exactly what the senior was hoping for. It is so much fun to create together and to make you feel your absolute best.
If you are a high school senior or the parent of a senior, please reach out to check availability. Your school will usually have a deadline for submitting senior photos for the yearbook. We will want to make sure we have plenty of time to fit in the session and editing turnaround time. Please keep in mind that Fall is the busiest time of year for me. A parent or guardian is required to sign the contract to work with me.
Senior year of high school (or college) is such an important milestone and time of life. As a mom of a teenager myself, I know just how important this time of life is and it deserves to be documented and celebrated!

When booking your senior pictures, the most important thing is your yearbook submission deadline (if you wish to use it for the yearbook). From there, think about the time of year you wish to have your photos taken. If you are hoping to schedule your senior session in the Fall, it is important to reach out earlier to ensure I have availability. Please allow up to 4 weeks for turnaround time after your session.
I try to not give too much advice on what to wear for a senior session. Let's be honest, I don't know what is in style and this is your chance to truly show who you are. Think about clothing that makes you feel your best. You are welcome to bring a few outfits to change into, as time allows. If you want advice on colors to avoid, etc., I am happy to offer my professional opinion on what photographs well.
Seniors are encouraged to bring props if wanted. This can be flowers, a soccer ball, letterman jacket, or whatever helps to tell your story. If you do not want to bring any props, that is totally fine! I also recommend bringing things like chapstick, water, touch up spray, or anything you can think of that might help you stay comfortable. Bring mom or dad to the session and I promise to sneak in a couple photos of you together.
Most of my senior sessions last the full 1.5 hours. We will start our session about 1.5 hours before sunset and I am happy to go until we run out of light. I love to choose locations that give us a lot of variety and allow us to move around quite a bit. This allows us plenty of time for a couple of outfit changes and breaks as needed.
I have several beautiful outdoor locations that I love to shoot at in and around Colorado Springs. A lot of it depends on the vibe you are going for. I will send you a location guide that has places I have held sessions at before and then we can go over the pros and cons of each. If you have a different place in mind, I am always happy to scout out the location. The possibilities are endless!
Yes I do! Senior pictures are not just for your yearbook. In addition to digital files, every session includes a substantial print credit so that you can ensure you get professional prints that look beautiful and will last more than a lifetime to be passed down to future generations.
